Fulham - Gera Out?

Since moving to Craven Cottage on a bosman in 2008, midfielder-come-forward Zoltan Gera has suffered mixed fortunes with a wavering first year followed by a 'Player of the Season' award in the 2009/10 term.

Despite his obvious improvement and adaption here in London, it would seem new manager Mark Hughes may well consider Gera more of a bit-part player than a first teamer; something which any genuine footballer would not be happy to hear.

With that in mind it's being rumoured that both parties will seek a resolution over the coming days as to loaning the Hungarian out or simply selling him on.

AJ Auxerre have supposedly expressed an interest but it's thought Gera would prefer to stay in England.

I for one hope it's not true, but, we'll endeavor to keep you updated!

Gera was certainly valuable in our Europa League campaign, but his Prem performances have not been comparable. As we have no European adventure to contend with this season, I can see Hughes looking to sell Gera while he can.

But other souces are saying that him and Bobby are close to signing new deals, so which paper has the jurno with his finger on the pulse and which one has the lazy hack lol

interested to see how this one plays out... there will be no better time than now to sell the player... a loan seems silly... i'd like him to stay, but we'll see...

gera is on fire....i never thought i would say that....after fulham had such a great season last year, on the back of our best league finish im not surprised that our players are in the spot light, especially with a new manager! I would like it if we lost no players and gained a few. Hughes needs to get to know what he has got. he knows the squad is good enough to survive the prem at the moment. I think come the january window there will be more movement as hughes will be more settled in and also depending on our prem position
