Fulham - Konchesky Deal Moves Closer

Having missed out through injury (?) participating in our first fixture of the 2010 / 2011 Premier League season, we`re starting to wonder if Paul Konchesky will put on a Fulham shirt again.

The reason we say this is that the vibes from Merseyside are getting louder by the day with it being common knowledge, on the streets of that city, that Liverpool are preparing a £3 million swoop for the left back.

And with Konchesky apparently keen to move to continue working under Roy Hodgson we can`t see much point in fighting to keep him, after all should we keep any player that doesn`t want to stay?

If we let him go it'll leave Schwarzer wondering why he hasn't yet been granted a move. Could trigger some unwanted departures, and, the left back spot is not an easy one to fill in. I'd rather he stayed, unless he does truly want out.

schwarzer deal is just about money at this point, no? it never seemed to me that konch was fully committed to the club, but i probably just made that up... we need a left back... can we still get nickey shorey? dangit.

I think hughes will only sell if he can replace within the current transfer window! Konch has been a steady and reliable player....i hope he does not go.....but if he wants to then time to move on!

I think kelly may make the step up and konch may start to get injuried no point keeping a player who dont want to stay

Can't imagine the club letting him go without a confirmed replacement. As KB stated, left back is a tough spot to fill.
