Fulham - Zamora`s Debut

For forty-five minutes I sat there fidgeting away, unable to comprehend why Fabio Capello had decided to not start with Bobby Zamora after giving him a healthy build up in the pre-match build up.

My prayers relating to giving him enough match time to make an impression though were answered when Bobby was introduced as a second half substitute. Wearing the number 20 shirt for his debut, Bobby, naturally, looked a little nervous in those early minutes.

But as he adjusted to the pace of the game, Bobby looked well at ease with his new environment and may well have had a debut to remember if the Hungarian keeper hadn`t demonstrated his agility by clawing away an effort that had goal written all over it.

Has Bobby done enough to remain a member of the squad for the next international, a European Championship qualifier? Well we reckon he has, how about you?

I certainly think so, he looked good and once looney had come off, the whole team looked better.
