Fulham - Today`s Transfer Gossip!

The big kick-off is less than a week away, the 5-1 victory over Werder Bremen gave Mark Hughes the perfect opportunity to assess the squad he`s inherited in a match day scenario, so who have the tabloids got us lined up for in the transfer market today?

Two names are thrust upon us by one leading tabloid, two names that belong to players that have had more than decent Premier League careers, but two names that are the wrong side of thirty and have, I believe, already been linked with a move to Craven Cottage already this summer.

The two candidates are Eidur Gudjohnsen who hasn`t, reportedly, signed a permanent deal with Spurs and who is still registered as an AS Monaco player and Mikael Silvestre who is a free agent after being released by Arsenal at the end of last season.

Gudjohnsen is 31 and Silvestre is 32, do you, the Vital Fulham membership, believe either could do a job for Fulham Football Club or should we steer well clear?

I'd take Eidur and a pacey striker to hopefully come in alongside him. Silvestre really isn't needed imho.

I'd like Gudjohnsen. But am getting a bit bored of all the speculation now. In time we need another attacking option and a replacement for Murphy, but let's take our time and get the right personnel

let both pass... no thanks.

Gudjohnsen on a loan is a good deal. We already have Ponderos so dont need another old centre back. As for a danny replacement, i think hughes may wait till the jan transfer window. Its early days and i think he can work with what he has. Scoring goals is priority.

with Senderos crocked we now need both!
