Fulham - City Raid Imminent!

On the transfer front it has been relatively quiet since Mark Hughes decided he was the man to take over for Roy Hodgson.

Mind you having heavily beaten Werder Bremen on Saturday some say that there can`t be a lot wrong with our current squad.

But we`re fairly certain that there will be new arrivals before the transfer window closes at the end of the month and that Hughes is currently assessing those currently at the Cottage before making any hasty decisions.

This weekend however, one tabloid ran an article inferring that Mark ay well be returning to Manchester City to sign one of their lesser lights - Felipe Caicedo.

Caicedo, an Ecuador international was signed by Manchester City for £5.2 million from Basle but has been effectively frozen out by the latest influx of mega-money City signings.

We`re not sure how much City would want for Caicedo but if Hughes reckons he can do a job and the offer of regular first team football is there he`d probably snap up the chance to come south!

I was very high on Caicedo a couple of seasons ago. Don't know that his loan spell last season did anything for him. Something in the neighborhood of £4m would be OK, though.

Wouldn't be disappointed and wouldn't be thrilled. He has the potential to be one of those players that surprises people though.
