Fulham - Hughes Settling in Well!

When Roy Hodgson implied that he`d not be taking any Fulham players with him to Anfield I, for one, was a relieved man.

History is littered with managers that feel the necessity to take certain players from there old club to a new club.

If Roy hadn`t of been so gentlemanly, I reckon one of the names high on the list to go with him would have been Brede Hangeland.

Instead Hangeland appears to be enjoying life under Mark Hughes. With Hughes having only been on board for a little less than a week, Brede, on the official site, has given a clear indication that the squad have settled in well with the Welshman and is quoted as saying,

"I think it`s been really good this week."

"Clearly the Manager and his coaches know what they`re doing and it`s been a really good week with good sessions - so I look forward to times ahead.

"We`ve been training a little bit harder than we`re used to; he wants us to put a lot into the sessions and work hard."

"We`ve played a lot of football, which is always nice for the players."

"Everyone`s enjoyed it so far."

And after the fine win over Werder Bremen today it could be that the extra training is working well for the lads.
