Fulham - New Signing Imminent!

It appears that Mark Hughes hasn`t wasted long in making his mind up over a couple of transfers involving Aston Villa.

The on-off transfer of Steve Sidwell, reportedly set up by the departing Roy Hodgson, has, apparently, been vetoed by Mark Hughes, according to a tabloid source.

But, it`s also being reported that Mark has approved the signing of Luke Young who will provide competition with John Pantsil for the right back spot.

No monetary figures are mentioned though and there, as yet, is no official words from Craven Cottage.

great signing for you, if you manage to get him
stanvilla83
I was told two days ago he had been told he can travel down to Fulham to discuss terms. He is a great right back, just a shame we have a t@at of a manager with a huge ego.

good to hear... i thought he was past his prime, but if he can still play, then why not...

good signing for you lads, a very good right-back, baffled why we don't play him anymore but then, maybe only LY and MON will ever know that.

more than good enough for a top 6 side, arguably better than that, shame our clown of a manager can't see it and thinks that Carlos Clown is the answer.

Good player but obviously not possessing the commitment to the Villa cause MON requires. Villa have improved without him playing regularly so glad to see him leave

upthevilla - I don't think it's fair calling King Carlos a "clown", he's a great CB playing out of position, but that's MONs call. I like Luke Young and really don't know what happened between him and MON, but if Fulham get him it will be a great signing for them and I hope he's treated right at Craven Cottage which I'm sure he will.

He quickley became my faviourite player in his first season and even though i like Warnock too, i'd prefare still L Young playing out of position in left than warnock. and i'd definately prefare him playing RB over Cuellar. However, I understand what MON is doing by playing Cuellar on the right, he just likes to play with 3 CB which is unfortunate for Luke Young, but his tactics have worked so its hard to argue against him. Anyhoo, good luck to him at Fulam, and you definately have a great signing if you get him that is.
