Fulham - Fayed on His 'H` Men!

Fulham - Fayed on His 'H` Men!

At yesterdays` news conference, Mohammed Al Fayed was his usual jovial self but behind the smiles we got the feeling that Mr Al Fayed was a little miffed that Roy Hodgson chose to take the Liverpool job.

Talking about Roy Hodgson, Mr Al Fayed had this to say,

"Roy disappointed the fans and the players."

"I`m sure he`ll take Liverpool downhill. He was just a bugger. I did everything to help him. But that`s his character, he can`t help it."

"After we put him where he is now, he took advantage but good luck to him."

"We gave him all the support, we believed in him and he let us down. I forgive him anyhow."

You can`t help but chuckle and we`d surmise that Roy`s name wasn`t exactly greeted with a smile in the immediate days after he had jumped ship.

But talking about Mark Hughes, Mr Al Fayed had this to say,

"Mark`s much better than the previous one. He know`s what he`s doing."

"We have a nice guy now. Don`t mention Roy Hodgson any more."

"Fulham`s a wonderful club and I`m sure Mark will do a great job."

"The players will like him - he`s going to win us the championship."

Now let`s get this right, we are talking about the championship of the league we`re in now as opposed to the Championship we never want to return to are we not?

I did wonder what Mo meant by the 'championship'! Champions' League? Premier League? I felt a bit sorry for Hughes, he looked a little perplexed by it all!

Especially when Mo passed £50 his way for new players!

not exactly the classiest response from Mo, but what are you going to do. Fulham really did establish Hodgson as the best english manager in the country...

I'm hoping some of this was tongue in cheek. Otherwise, this shows a total lack of class, and I'm embarrassed. Roy was a godsend and we owe him some respect and gratitude. We'd be in the Championship but for Hodgson, so Mo needs to shut-up and write the checks. He's quite the j@ck@ss sometimes!

True. NOBODY has done more for Fulham than Mo, but I still don't like his comments.
