Fulham - Race for Hleb!

Having held his first official press conference this afternoon, speculation is rife as to who Mark Hughes will bring to Craven Cottage.

This morning, the tabloid press give the impression that Mark will utilize the loan market rather than make an immediate dent in the rumoured £25 million available in the transfer kitty.

The first target for a possible loan is a player that enjoyed enormous success for Arsenal but has fallen out of favour at Barcelona - Alexander Hleb.

The Belarus international is still only twenty-nine years of age and would welcome a return to the Premier League, but if Mark is to bring off something of a coup and bring Hleb to Craven Cottage he`ll have to beat off stiff competition in the shape of Aston Villa, Sunderland, West Ham and Spurs, all of whom are reputedly interested in striking up a similar deal.

Definitely a rumour to keep an eye on though!
