Fulham - Hughes Tops the List!

With no new potential managerial candidate in the frame today, the media are now proposing that Mark Hughes is the one in the proverbial driving seat.

Hughes, out of work since being disposed of by Manchester City, is being heavily backed for the position, a proposition that should have the Vital Fulham readers smiling, considering that before Martin Jol entered the race Hughes was your favourite for the role.

The Welshman, who had such a distinguished playing career, had his best spell in management whilst at Blackburn Rovers leading the club into Europe before being enticed by the prospect of taking over at Manchester City.

But, we should point out that the same media that have placed Mark in pole position are also keen to point out that there could be a major obstacle to be overcome before any appointment could be ratified.

Our tabloid sources inform us that Mark Hughes an dour current Chief Executive, Alistair Mackintosh, were not exactly bosom buddies at City!

Come on chaps, let bygones be bygones shall we!

this could be a serious stumbling block, and is probably a big reason it hasn't happened already... who knows...
