Fulham - Sven`s Unfinished Business!

Fulham - Sven`s Unfinished Business!

Is Sven Goran Eriksson destined for Craven Cottage?

The media certainly seem to think so having installed him as favourite for the position.

Strange then that his agent, Athole Still, has declared that despite all the speculation there has been no contact at all between Fulham and Sven with Athole Still remarking,

"It`s a very attractive club, not just for Sven (but there has been) no contact whatsoever."

"We`ve known for some weeks that Sven`s one of the managers under consideration."

But, it appears that Athole Still has faith that Sven wants to return to the Premier League by further remarking about his previous spell, in charge at Manchester City,

"He did a first class job with Manchester City - it was a personal non-compatibility with Dr Shinawatra which caused him to be sacked. He should still be there."

And going on to admit that Sven feels he has unfinished business in the Premier League.

I guess it remains to be seen!

I know some of you think Eriksson is just out for the money, despite him gifting his entire fee for his work at Notts Co to that club when leaving. I am not one of his biggest fans, but with Jol out of the picture and I do not for a second you can get Hitzfeld to quit one of the most promising young national teams in Europe before the Euro. I would say Eriksson is your best suggestion. He is not on top of modern football tactics all the time, but neither was Hodgson to be honest. Eriksson is a good people manager and did good work with City before he and the thai crook fell out with each other. Better work than Hughes ever did. He is a shoe-in for the Ivory Coast if he wants the job, and despite rumours of him wanting a bigger pay for it - the pay is modest compared to PL-standard. He is asking for a paltry 6000 pounds a week for that job!!! Surely Fulham can afford to match that. Fulham could do worse than Eriksson (and he has not had any "female troubles" in a long time...;-) I am sure he is a better manager than Davy Jones for the moment. I would easily rank him among the ten best if he comes back to the PL.

PS. I do believe he has a bone to pick and something to prove, and that is a good thing when getting a manager (or player). Shinawatra treated him *****tily and he was duped in the Notts Co project....so...

You put a good argument across Lindy, I was close to being sucked in, alas I considered it for longer than a second and have to say I agree with Leonestar. Svennis needs to rebuild his credibility before joing our club.

Also, he is beginning to come across as desperate. It was only just over 3 weeks ago, before Roy was appointed, when Svennis declared that he was a lifelong Liverpool fan and that managing them would be his dream job!

He did bad with England ... ok with City ... Not really sure what he actually did at Notts County ... nearly wrecked Mexico's chances of making the World Cup and didn't really impress with the Ivory Coast. Shouldn't even be considered! truth sayer ffc - Why do you need a big name??? Phil Scolari was a big name, Jacques Santini was a big name and thats just to name a few. David Moyes proves that having little reputation means nothing! He was a nobody before joining Everton.
