Fulham - What if Jol Doesn`t Come?

Would it be a disaster or merely a setback?

The reason I ask is that some news agencies have placed doubts on whether the Dutchman will leave Ajax after all.

Doubts that are fuelled by comments from the Dutchman himself who is quoted in the Dutch newspaper, De Telegraaf, as having said,

"They (Fulham) were interested but in principle I will stay at Ajax."

Are we being played off against Ajax or have the press created a story that has just escalated out of control?

At this late stage, it would be a disaster, but I'm still optimistic a deal will be done.

Just give the job to Lewington and tell him to 'run it like Roy' did. That should see us through 'til January. By that time, Ajax will be knocked out of the CL and the club may have a different take on Jol. Ajax hasn't been a real threat since the Bosman ruling, but it's obvious they haven't accepted their fate. Yes, they're bigger than Fulham, but the glory days of Ajax have passed. FFS, they haven't even won the Eredivisie since 03/04. I've always been a great fan of Ajax (I've actually followed them longer than I've followed Fulham), but enough is enough. Get out of the way and let this thing happen.
