Fulham - Martin Jol Update!

Things are now starting to get exciting!

The Daily Grapevine isn`t merely suggesting that Martin Jol could be our next manager it`s inferring that a deal has been done.

Apparently a deal will be announced tomorrow (Tuesday) after Martin agreed a deal that will see him earn £2 million a year.

Along the same lines, a compensation deal has also been agreed with Ajax Amsterdam as Jol returns to English football desperate to prove a point.

The implications are that Mr Al Fayed has promised Martin a substantial transfer budget as he attempts to keep the momentum going that Roy Hodgson established.

Martin will arrive at Craven Cottage to be greeted by some familiar faces having previously had Danny Murphy, Simon Davies and Stephen Kelly on his books during his tenure at Spurs.

Talking about his impending arrival, Simon Davies had this to say,

"Martin is a very, very good coach, one of the best I have worked with."

Could we be about to witness a seamless transition?

this could prove to be another astute managerial signing...

Lets face it I'd take Jol over Sven any day, if this comes off I'll be very happy.

The Evening Standard stated this afternoon that Jol's first move would be to bring Robbie Keane to the Cottage!

Initially, I wanted Hughes. Jol never even entered my thoughts. Looking at the choice now, I'd pick Jol without question. Ajax does not want to let him go, so I hope we can agree a reasonable compensation package QUICKLY! I don't want this to drag out (or fall apart).

I liked Big MJ a lot during his time with us. I wish him all the best at Fulham, except when you guys are playing us.
Madaboutspurs
One of the top managers in football imo... he brings the best out of his players and he will get you guys playing attractive football and scoring a lot of goals.

Yea Apparently he wants to bring in Keane and Stephen Irleand from MAN CITY now with Mr Fayed givin him 25mill to spend

To late Teddy looks like it already has, back to the drawing board again. I hope they can sort out a new manager soon as this must be affecting our ability to attract players
