Fulham - Re-Opening an Old Chestnut?

Fulham - Re-Opening an Old Chestnut?

After our supposed enquiry to Manchester City for Joe Hart was politely refused, is there a possibility that those in charge at Craven Cottage may make a stop gap signing?

The Daily Express are reporting that Portsmouth Football Club, under the stewardship of new manager Steve Cotterill, are preparing to sever their ties with their keeper, the advancing in years (I`m trying to be polite here), David James.

It appears that the south-coast club has lost their patience with James when it comes to signing a new one-year deal and are preparing to offload England`s World Cup keeper.

Does anyone else think it would be a good move for Fulham to snap him up with the likelihood that Mark Schwarzer is bound for the Emirates Stadium?

Or should we be brave and entrust David Stockdale with the keepers jersey after the youngster got rave reviews whilst out on loan at Plymouth last season?

Your opinions would be most welcome!

stockdale needs to be given a chance, but he might be one year away... i'm good if either happen really... james for one year then stockdale going forward, or stockdale now...

Stockdale needs to be given a chance and, if it does not work out, there is always the January Transfer window.
