Of late, speculation regarding the Fulham managerial job has died down so considerably that I found myself reverting to funny online videos of cats getting stuck in windows, rather than scouring the World Wide Web for a half-reliable source claiming to possess the knowledge of the man that will drag Fulham into 2010/11.
Being me though, I needed a Fulham news fix and I found myself entering the official forums for the first time in a decade or three; only to find a whole host of complaints aimed at the Fulham board for not commenting on any potential appointment.
It's clear to understand their frustration, as a lot of other Premier League teams are more than happy to have their say on speculation, be it dismissive or affirmative.
At Fulham though, they play it by the book and news is only published once one hundred percent official.
This does, without a doubt, leave us working on scraps. Not a single Fulham fan truly has a sound idea of who will be appointed or when it'll be completed.
In reality, it's quite simple for a Fulham representative to come out and say 'We plan on appointing a man by whenever and we want a man who fits these specifications.'
It happens everywhere else, yet, the club with it's own personal Facebook and Twitter account still can't pluck the media-fueled confidence to put out a small, maybe even vague statement, to re-assure us, the fans.
As the life of Fulham Football Club, they should understand that we're not asking them to announce any plans before a contract has been signed, but, to simply offer us a dab of assurance so that we're not constantly dirtying our fingers while we prowl through the back of the paper.
In short, Fulham FC, a little communication wouldn't go a miss!
