Fulham - Eriksson Favourite to be our Man!

With the World Cup now over and the domestic season a little over four weeks away, the word on the Stevenage Road is that our new manager will be Sven Goran Eriksson.

Now whether you agree with the potential appointment of the Swede or not there`s got to be a huge sigh of relief that the forthcoming incumbent of the manager`s chair does have a fine pedigree and carries huge respect in the football world.

Whether he can improve, or even maintain upon what Roy Hodgson has achieved remains the great question but with, as I`ve mentioned before, the season being only a little over four weeks away the most urgent matter in hand remains getting familiar with the playing squad, assessing our strengths and looking to plug our weaknesses.

Now if this involves dipping into the transfer market we`re sure the new man will have spoken about funds being available during the interview procedure, so time is at a premium. Incoming players will have to be sourced and integrated all in a very short time.

It certainly looks like the next three or four weeks are going to be a busy period.
