Fulham - Davies on Hodgson!

We`ve no doubt the fact that Roy Hodgson is leaving to manage Liverpool will be greeted as sad news by the players at Craven Cottage.

Since taking over from Lawrie Sanchez the club is now unrecognizable to the shambolic outfit that was staffed with Championship class players and heading through the relegation trapdoor to the Coca Cola League.

We expect many of the playing staff to step forward over the next few days to wax lyrical about what Ro meant to them and what was so unique about his management style.

One of the first to do so is Simon Davies who has stepped forward and offered the following to the media about Roy`s style,

"Every day in training is geared towards team shape for the match-day coming up. Nothing else."

"I don`t want to give any secrets away, but he gets the 11 he wants to start on a match-day and drills in everything he wants."

"It`s certain defensive drills, certain attacking drills."

"We`ve had a little laugh about it now and again, but when the manager came in we were fighting relegation and we ended in the Europa league - so you take it."

"It`s nice to know what you work hard on works so well."

It`s time for those stiff upper lips down at the Cottage, trying times await I fear!
