Fulham's Goalkeeper?

On the thought of our Mr Schwarzer departing for the Gunners and the will he or won`t he saga?

A couple of bad games and he will be keeping there bench warm!

Still further more, not only are his two likely successors David James and Robert Green not only have they not exactly covered themselves in glory for there country.

We won`t name which one they did not shine too brightly for there clubs either, so the big, big question is should we give young David Stockdale his chance?

It could be now or never!

I say give the lad starting role. The chance to shine.....If you look at green and james, both in teams that leaked goals and yes not brilliant world cups, though james was better.

Still a big risk as he lacks experience. Of course, it's a vicious circle as he won't gain experience without playing first team football, but, he's not quite ready yet in my opinion. Good goalie, but one more loan deal needed in my opinion. His position on the field is far more difficult to succeed in and the slightest error may well effect his progress.

kb i agree... he needs one more year... unfortunately i think schwarzer has been a great influence on him... will james be the same? i can't say... he's seems a bit loony... but one more year of loan, or one year of cups and random games... then he'll be ready...

I agree that one more year.....but by then he will be at another club and we will rule the missed opportunity! He has waited and if we do a loan like the joe hart situation he may never come back. English as well so he fits the home grown quota! How many British keepers in premier league clubs?....Stockdale could be the next crop of english keepers along with joe hart
