Fulham - Gudjohnsen is a Possibility?

The Sunday Mirror carries an exclusive this morning; it implies that Fulham could well be landing the ex-Chelsea striker, Eidur Gudjohnsen.

Gudjohnsen, currently an AS Monaco player, spent the back end of last season on loan at White Hart Lane and was hoping that Spurs would make the move a permanent one.

But, the Spurs board are dithering and trying to offload several of their fringe players before plumping to offer Gudjohnsen a permanent deal.

The Icelandic striker, understandably, wants his position sorted out and is set to reject moves to Stoke and Blackburn in favour of remaining in London.

If this move does materialise we reckon it`ll represent something of a coup but the way our luck tends to go on such things I wouldn`t keep those fingers crossed for too long!

Doubt it will happen. Good player, but probably outside of our reach.

As said, good player, but I can't see this move coming to fruition. Also, I'm not quite sure where he'd fit in. Assuming Zamora stays, I would want someone pacey alongside him rather than having two so-called 'Target men' leading the line.

Gudjohnsen is a terrific player and as a Spurs fan, I'd be looking for a partner for him, rather than a partner for Defoe. He reminds me so much of Sheringham, his vision and technique is brilliant. I personally hope we stop dithering and get him signed, but if he doesn't come here I hope he goes to you rather than Blackburn or Stoke.
