Fulham - Hodgson Mersey Bound!

There`s no doubt, pundit-wise, that Roy Hodgson has been the star of the BBC show, probably just edging out Lee Dixon, with his informative views on the action.

Stood pitch-side yesterday, offering punditry on the England v Slovenia clash, Roy showed his class by being the only person to point out before the game had kicked off that Steven Gerrard would be playing wide on the left of a midfield four 9all the others had him at the tip of a midfield diamond).

Sadly though, that very expertise only goes to confirm why Liverpool Football Club want to recruit him as their next manager.

With the victory, against Slovenia, probably ensuring Fabio Capello remains in the England hot-seat, the tabloid press has picked up on the fact that Roy is flying back to England this evening and they`ve also decided that amongst the first things he`ll be doing is talking to Liverpool Football Club!

After yesterday feeling quite confident that he`d be staying at Craven Cottage, something now tells me that we could be about to wave goodbye to a man who has done so much to turn around the fortunes of our club.

I sincerely hope I`m wrong!

I long ago thought he'd be leaving sooner than later, but it certainly looks to be all but done. Again, just settle it soon. One way or another, just settle it.
