Fulham - Konchesky Latest!

It looks like Alex McLeish is going to be a persistent fellow doesn`t it!

The 'Daily Grapevine` suggests that after having had a bid of £1.5 million turned down, by Fulham, for Paul Konchesky, they`re now preparing to up the ante.

The latest indications, from the tabloid media, are that Birmingham intend to come back with a revised ad increased bid of £2 million for the twenty-nine year old left back.

Are we tempted to sell or should we hold out for more?

Or should we simply tell them he`s not for sale?

Hard to say on this one, if the rumours that he doesn’t want to extend his contract are true then we should get the maximum we can for him and sign someone who does want to be at Fulham and Aurelio on a free looks like good business in that case, don’t quite understand why he wouldn’t want to extend his say, we have done pretty well over the last two seasons.

£2.5m is a reasonable fee. Wouldn't take a penny less.

I don't know. Brum seems to have a genuine interest in Konchesky. I think it's just a matter of agreeing a fee.

On another fullback note, Birmingham is rumored to be going after Nathaniel Clyne of Crystal Palace. He is one of the players I really wish we'd go after. I have to give Birmingham credit. They're not wasting any time get new players in; and quality players at that!
