'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Hodgson Sweeping All Aside!

There`s a lovely line in a cult move I`m particularly fond of!

Called Awaydays it`s set in Liverpool which is rather apt considering the subject of this article.

The line goes something along the lines of :-

Where will it all end………….(followed by the lead characters name)

And at this moment in time I can`t helping thinking about where all the speculation linking Roy Hodgson with Liverpool will end.

Today, Roy appears to have fought off the apparent challenge of another leading candidate the media have come up with.

The top Italian manager, Marcello Lippi, has ruled himself out of contention and unless a certain Kenny Dalglish can be tempted to take the reigns I fear that it`s now looking more and more likely that Roy Hodgson is seen as the man to revitalise Liverpool Football Club.

I currently feel like a messenger of doom!

Lippi and Redknapp have taken themselves out of the running. Hiddink is otherwise engaged. The list of potential candidates is getting shorter. Does not bode well for us.
