Fulham - Dempsey Nets the Winner!

Yesterday, in an article, we covered Clint Dempsey and how he perceives it could be up to him to step forward on the World Cup stage to make an impact for his team.

Well yesterday he certainly did as the USA side turned around their previous 4-2 defeat at the hands of the Czech Republic to bear Turkey 2-1.

Turkey opened the scoring through Turan before Altidore equalised for the USA before, with fifteen minutes left, Dempsey latched on to a ball from Donovan to score.

It looks like the USA are edging back towards the form that saw them reach the final of the Confederations Cup in South Africa last summer - England beware!

Save them for the group stage, Deuce!

would it be rude to cheer if he scores against England?
Al Billy
Certainly not to me, but then, I'm American.

What a question of conscience al... I'll be rooting for America, so I have nothing to decide. But I'd be rooting for Bobby in all the games but the one against the US had he made the squad.
