Fulham - Safe; For Now

Amid great speculation regarding the future of our legendary manager, Roy Hodgson, at least one potential suitor has gratefully pulled out of the running.

Rumours were rife over Hodgson's future after steering our humble team all but inches away from a major European Trophy.

With his now World wide status in mind, Juventus were touted as favourites to ploy Roy away from the Thames but, quite thankfully I might add, Juve have put faith into the Italian management talent pool and pulled out ex-Sampdoria manager, Luigi Del Neri.

A great relief it may be, but Liverpool still wait in the lurch and we can't hold onto Sir Woy forever.

His comments after the EL final gave me hope that nothing would happen this summer. But next summer???? Who knows.

thats right football is a year to year game.....forget the long term future in hoping players and managers will stay. As an elderly fulham supporter once turned and said to me, in the hammy end, "the 11 that run out on a saturday at the begining of the season, are the ones!!!!"

Leonestar, you've obviously met a wise old bird in the hammy end. As a supporter of some 57 years who now resides in the riverside Stand, I think he is right.
