Fulham - Hodgson Staying?

Our Europa League success this season has seen the profile of (Sir) Roy Hodgson raised on the European stage.

His prowess was recently recognized by the League Managers` Association who made him their Manager of the Year.

Naturally, success comes at a price and the media, especially the tabloid variety, have already implied that several other clubs, including Liverpool, could be on the verge of trying to lure Roy away from Craven Cottage.

In the aftermath of the defeat to Atletico Madrid last night, Roy eased those fears expressed by the Fulham support by implying he was staying at Craven Cottage for the foreseeable future, explaining,

"I`ve been fully committed to Fulham as long as I`ve been here and always will be."

"I still have a contract and, as far as I`m concerned, that`s where I`ll be."

Two sentences, a little over thirty words but statements that mean so much to the Fulham fans.

Considering the circumstances, I couldn't have asked for better news. Well-timed and reassuring comments from Roy.

Good news for Fulham and good news for football in general as well, it's nice to see some loyalty in a game that these days seems to have a “the grass is always greener” mentality. COYW!!!!!!
