Our fine country has a history of getting behind the underdog; the population likes nothing more than seeing a David slay a Goliath.
Tonight, with the eyes of the football world fixed on the Nordbank Arena, the vibes reaching the camp are that most of England is yearning for a Fulham win.
Our captain, Danny Murphy, who will be, hopefully, the man to lift the trophy tonight, has spoken about the warm feeling, commenting,
"Right now Fulham is just about everyone`s second favourite team."
"I`ve had loads of text messages from friends in football and been amazed at people in the street stopping me to wish us luck."
"I reckon it`s fair to say the whole country`s behind us. Maybe it`s because of our spirit and that we`ve overcome the odds against so many good teams on the way."
"All the lads are the same. We`ve been surprised and overwhelmed with all the support we`ve had really."
It`s nothing more than our gallant performances, in Europe, deserve.

i think it is criminal tho that only 50% of the fans - 25% atletico and 25% fulham - will have been allocated match tickets, of course 'touts' will have had a field day ripping others off but FFS cup finals are for the fans, not the bloody corporates etc. well not 50% of the tickets anyway!
