Mark Schwarzer has already experienced playing in a European Final with Middlesbrough, therefore we expect our Australian keeper is fully aware of the pressures the team will experience tonight.
Schwarzer is in the unenviable position whereby his performance could make or break our hearts tonight. A string of good saves or one error could have a bearing on the outcome of the final.
But, being an Aussie, we`d imagine that Mark will be full of confidence going into the match and will enjoy every last minute of being part of the Fulham team that is making their own unique piece of history.
Ahead of the kick-off, Mark has spoken about what it means to the club, its players and its supporters, explaining,
"This is our chance to make history. Who knows if the opportunity will ever come along again? We will reiterate that to all the players. For a club like Fulham, we have to take this unbelievable opportunity."
"It`s one of the biggest games of my career. It is like our World Cup Final. It has been a remarkable journey and it will be a remarkable evening. It has been a fantastic season."
"I might write a book about this season one day when I have finished playing football. It would be strange than fiction."
Do that Mark, it could become a best seller amongst football books and we`re sure it`d make great reading!
