Fulham - Terry Backs Fulham

Fulham - Terry Backs Fulham

He may be part of that lot down the road and he may have felt the wrath of the media after his dalliance mid season but John Terry has shown us another side to his character by contacting Bobby Zamora ahead of the fixture tonight.

Zamora and Terry go back a long way after first meeting as team mates in their younger days playing for Senrab and it seems the friendship they established then is as strong as ever.

Apparently, following Chelsea title triumph on Sunday, Zamora sent Terry a congratulatory text and Terry has returned the compliment ahead of the clash with Atletico Madrid and has remarked,

"I know Bobby has been struggling with his Achilles but I wish him well. He texted me after we won the title and I would be delighted for him if Fulham won the Europa League."

As Danny Murphy has already pointed out in an interview given to the media, everybody wants us to win, even that lot down the road!

My father was one of those who, before the war, used to go with his dad to Fulham one week and Chelsea the next. It was pure chance that my first match with him was a Chelsea game and it stuck. Of course I want you to win.
