After being tipped, by so many, as the potential League Managers` Manager of the Year, it has been announced that (Sir) Roy has been named the winner.
The award is justification for all the incredible work Roy has performed at Craven Cottage this season.
The club has played a phenomenal 63 games and elevated itself to a new level on the European stage, courtesy of Roy`s wonderful work.
It should also be remembered that Roy has achieved his success on a shoestring budget, compared to many other managers.
But, knowing how professional Roy is when it comes to preparing for fixtures, we`d expect the news to have been greeted by a wry smile, a few handshakes and then the cry of 'let`s get back to business` from our wonderful boss.
According to our sources, (Sir) Roy took the accolade with the widest voting margin for many a year, showing the regard in which he is held by his fellow managers.
It`s a marvelous achievement by a manager who has the respect of all the others who do a similar role.
Congratulations Roy from all at Vital Fulham.
As for the divisional winners, the accolades went to:-
Championship winner - Chris Hughton (Newcastle)
League One - Paul Lambert (Norwich)
League Two - Keith Hill (Rochdale)
