Fulham - Konchesky Linked With Move Away!

Now here`s a conundrum for you all!

One leading tabloid is running an article this morning that implies that Paul Konchesky is looking for a new club.

It implies that Konchesky, who has twelve months left on his contract, is willing to leave Craven Cottage.

That may well be so!

But, the waters get muddier when the article then goes on to suggest that Paul is being linked with a move to either Bolton or Birmingham.

The latter perhaps but the former, a definite no, no!

Unfortunately, it gets worse, with the tabloid implying that we already have a ready made replacement on our books in Nicky Shorey.

Now Shorey may well be a decent enough player but currently he lags behind Konchesky in the pecking order.

Surely a better solution, if there is an ounce of truth in this article, is to talk to Paul and convince him to stay!

Or am I living in cloud cuckoo land?

Sure Koncheskey is decent enough but I'd rather be signing a foreigner. Paul Koncheskey would hardly get season ticket sales going now would he?

Not the first time this rumor has popped-up, as I recall. I think Shorey and Konchesky are about even. I don't think you gain or lose much with either. I can't say I'll be terribly bothered if he leaves as long as we have a decent replacement, and if that replacement is Shorey, then fine with me.

shame to see the lad goe, always plays with full commitment

Think this is just paper talk, it's not like he's lost his place to Shorey, I think we should keep them both competition for places is good and looking at the Fair League we should be in Europe again next season not matter what happens next Wednesday so a lot of games again next year.
Oldwolf
I thought Burnley were in line for the Fair Play spot if we win on Wednesday.

are burnley one behind us in the table? our european fate is in our hands... and i wouldn't be bothered too much if paul left and shorey played all the time... except then we'd need cover at left back once again... is that where scharner is going?
