Fulham - I Have a Contract!

This Bank Holiday weekend we`ve already touched on the subject of our success having a negative effect.

The possibility of (Sir) Roy Hodgson being tempted by an offer from a 'bigger` club is, now, always going to be a worry.

Thankfully, for the time being, Roy seems happy with life at Craven Cottage and has reiterated to the media that he is under contract, commenting,

"I know nothing at all about my name being linked with any jobs. All I know is I`m happy here at Fulham and I have a contract here."

"If my name is sufficiently strong to be inked with other jobs that`s very flattering. But I`m trying to keep my feet on the ground because I know that the better you do the higher the barrier is raised and that makes it harder in the long run."

Besides, who`d want to go to Liverpool?

My strong feeling is that if he leaves, it'll be for the England job. BUT, if Rafa leaves and Roy is offered the position, I'm certain he'll take it.

surely he's not that loopy is he?

i think it depends on if the ownership changes and the whole management tree is pruned... i think (sir) roy would go to a favourable position, but i don't think liverpool currently is a favourable position... i think (sir) roy is very comfortable in london and working with al fayed and the fulham board... hopefully that leads him to stay...

I'd be amazed if he left us - he loves us!

Yeh, but Roy is no spring chicken. At 62, there may be few opportunities left to move to a big club, so I can't see him turning offers away. Can you imagine the status to be conveyed upon the man who leads Liverpool to another League title after so long of a wait. Were the offer to come, if I were Roy, I'd take it in a heartbeat!

poor old rafa not even gone dead mans shoes and all that

I could accept Roy taking over from Capello, but to go to Merseyside would be folly
