Holy Sh*t!

Can you believe it? Can you believe our 'little' club has done the impossible and reached the final of the Europa League competition in our first time of asking?

They had to make it difficult. They had to make it an uphill battle. What they did, more than anything else, was make it memorable.

What a night. You will never forget this night.

It almost started too good. Bobby had a chance to put us on the right foot from the start, but Rost was up to the challenge. It just didn't seem right. This was not how it was supposed to go.

Bobby was supposed to but his team on his shoulder, and with his bad Achilles, limp us into the final. I was a doubter. I was convinced that it wasn't for us.

After that wondergoal from Petric, the most dangerous man on their squad, I was sure it was a scripted final, with Hamburg playing in front of their home crowd.

I wondered why we were playing so hesitantly against Hamburg. I wondered why we weren't playing with our attacking style that I have come to love in Europe.

And then our one man wrecking crew had to come off. He played with the heart of a lion and I hope Capello was watching.

Around the 60th minute I started to believe. We started playing with the skill and attacking flair that I knew we were capable of. I was still unsure of what would happen, but I wondered why it took us 150 minutes to realize that we could play against them.

Then the pitch started to tilt. We were running downhill, and Davies scored an absolute peacher. What a goal. Oh what a goal.

We didn't have to wait long. Gera did what he has done all season and scored a crucial goal in Europe. It was a pure poacher's goal, it was instinctual, and I loved it.

I didn't know what to do I was so ecstatic. And then we waited. Biting our nails and holding our breath. There were moments of panic when I thought Ruud would send them through. But mercifully, the ref blew the whistle, sending us to Hamburg to the final.

To meet our destiny at the end of this fairytale.
