Fulham - Murphy On Our Great Adventure

Kick off is but a few hours away and already the adrenalin is flowing.

In a few short hours time we`ll know whether we`ve made history and become European finalists or whether we`ve fell at the final hurdle.

Whatever happens it promises to be a pulsating evening and one that Danny Murphy can`t wait to get started.

Murphy is a veteran of European campaigns having sampled many a European night with Liverpool.

Speaking ahead of the game, Danno explains how it`s so much better this time around and that he`s not taking anything for granted, when he remarks,

"The players are becoming a lot more aware that this is a special adventure. With Liverpool, the expectation is always there."

"We are talking about reaching a final which would be one of the greatest achievements of our history, whereas at Liverpool they are talking about reaching the same final as a consolation."

"That puts it into perspective a little bit."

Winning trophies at Liverpool were some of the best memories of my life."

"But to do it with Fulham - not that we have won a trophy yet - to get to this level is more satisfying because nobody gave us a chance to do that."

"Getting to the final would be a great reward for everyone involved, including the supporters. Fingers crossed that will happen."

And to think this all started in Lithuania back before the season even started.

One great adventure! Please don`t let it end!
