And so our incredible journey in the Europa League continues tomorrow.
It`s a journey that has caused this site editor to eat a lot of humble pie after classifying it as nothing more than an inconvenience when the journey first started.
I guess we all make mistakes (me more than most).
But, come what may, one day we`ll all sit down and remember this Europa League with a degree of fondness, it may not be our night tomorrow or it might well be a night to remember.
But whatever happens we can, justifiably, feel proud of our season, or as Clint Dempsey puts it,
"No matter what happens now we have already had a good season."
Can anyone argue with that sentiment because I can`t!
Continuing on a similar theme, Danny Murphy has also offered his thoughts, thoughts that reflect our opening paragraphs, when he comments, ahead of the big game,
'Sometimes it is easier to judge the achievements of a club after the event, so maybe when the season is over we will look back and see how well we have done, but the players are becoming a lot more aware that this is a special adventure.'
'Of course what would make it even more special would be getting to the final, which we know is going to be difficult."
'But to overcome the challenges we have faced in terms of the quality of the teams we have faced, injuries, suspensions, it is hard to put into words what we have achieved."
'Certainly it has been a wonderful effort so far and it is not over."
'We are playing at Craven Cottage where we have beaten some of the best teams in Europe, so we have got nothing to fear.'
'We have been to some fantastic places, starting in July in Vetra on a kind of non-league ground, to places like Shakhtar and Hamburg.'
Let`s all hope it ends with another trip to Hamburg shall we?![]()
