'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Hamburg Hit Panic Button!

With our Europa League semi-final second leg fast approaching, it appears our opponents, Hamburg, have thrown a wobbly!

After being thrashed 5-1 by Hoffenheim, on Sunday, the club has announced that they`ve parted company with their manager Bruno Labbadia.

Hardly the ideal preparation for such an important fixture we`d suggest.

Speaking about the sacking, the chairman has remarked,

'We have analysed the situation last night and this morning and decided together that we did not want to continue in this situation,

And as for a replacement,

'Ricardo Moniz will take charge of the team until the end of the season.

'He is incredibly enthusiastic, knows the team and English football well and lives for football.'

And as for a reason why,

'There was no alternative to this,'

'We need to improve the probability of us being successful on Thursday.'

'Anybody who knows Moniz knows also that there is nobody who is more 100% HSV than he is.'

'We believe that Ricardo will be able to get that extra percentage out of us which had disappeared recently.'

Well I guess it adds a little more spice to a fixture that everyone is eagerly waiting for!

Sometimes teams get a temporary boost when there's a managerial change, but it usually take a while to kick-in. Let's hope the squad self-destructs.

true true teddy a desperet measure me thinks lets hope it doseny pay off I think there team like most before a major game held back and did not give there best on saturday unlike our second team ha ha

Dont count your chickens yet lads, Bruno had lost the dressing room about 3 months ago which showed in our underpar performances, none of the players were putting in even 80% never mind 100% now under Moriz we shall see a new HSV!!!! Lets hope so anyway.

I'm not, HP (believe me)!. I'm fairly concerned, in fact, but I have to believe there will be a lack of discipline and that will pay dividends for our attack.
Teddy_KGB
Teddy, there cant be any less discipline in the HSV defence, that is impossible!!! Under Bruno all the opposing team had to do was put the ball into the 6 yard box and they were gauranteed 1 goal out of every 3 balls in the box!! After all, Bruno was a forward in his playing career and it certainly showed with the teams he managed defences, so the lack of discipline should be sorted ready for Thursday, heres hoping anyway ha ha. And I,m a lot more optimistic for a result now we have a new man at the healm. Either way I hope the winners of the cup come from the winners of our match, I,ll be cheering Fulham on if they get to final. Oh, and dont tell Mr Hodgson about that ball into the 6 yard box until after the match ha ha, good luck..
