Fulham - Hodgson Protests!

Despite fielding something akin to a second-string eleven at Goodison Park yesterday, Fulham nearly pulled off a shock result.

Only a late, late penalty denied us a share of the spoils on a ground where we rarely get a result.

After the game, (Sir) Roy Hodgson appeared slightly miffed about both Everton goals, feeling that his team didn`t quite get the rub of the green on this occasion.

Here`s what he had to say,

"It was definitely our throw in the run-up to the goal - and the penalty was an unbelievably harsh decision too."

"It was a very sad way to end the game and we didn`t deserve it. To lose so late on to a debatable penalty is a sad outcome from what would`ve been a great occasion for us."

Is Roy right? Were we hard done by?

Your thoughts would be appreciated!

I don't think the penalty was debatable; very unlucky, as there was no intent, but when you blindly react to the ball with a high boot, and contact someone's chest, you're going to get a foul called. Just our luck that it was in the penalty area.

Buit he's right about the throw in that led to the penalty, it should have gone to us
