Fulham - Impromptu Training Session!

As if trundling along the roads for mile after mile wasn`t bad enough, it transpires that matters got a little worse.

Apparently, on the way to Hamburg, the team coach got stuck behind a jack-knifed lorry adding further time to the already lengthy journey.

However, it appears that the hold-up was used by (Sir) Roy to get the players off the coach and have an impromptu stretching session.

Mark Schwarzer, who`ll be playing a pivotal role tonight, spoke about the session and also the lengthy journey, explaining,

"It`s not ideal preparation but it was good to get out and stretch."

"Whether you come by bus or plane it`s going to be difficult to get to a final."

"We have clocked up the miles and this time it hasn`t been the best but we`re professionals and just have to get on with it."

"I`m used to the mileage. I`ve got a fair few miles under my belt traveling around the world with Australia."

I bet most of those were in a far more comfortable situation than a cramped coach though!

Again, UEFA should force Hamburg to travel to London in the same manner. Fair is fair. But, it won't happen, of course.
