Fulham - Tipped to Win It!

With the Hamburg tie getting ever closer it appears that one of those we conquered, in an earlier round, believes we`re in with a good chance.

Not only a good chance of beating Hamburg but of going all the way and lifting up the trophy.

The person in question is the vanquished Shakhtar Donetsk coach, Mircea Lucescu, who is quoted as having remarked about our chances,

"Fulham can do it because they have improved from one match to the next. They are more powerful than at the beginning."

Praise indeed, but Lucescu also has praise for the boss as well when he remarks,

"He`s a strategist and a very tactical coach who has a good understanding with his players."

What a thoroughly nice bloke.

it is one thing to offer commendations... it is quite another to offer them after said team and manager has put you out of the tournament... thank you very much Lucescu, we appreciate your humility... COYW!

I know we can win it, but there's no room for error in these types of matches. One big advantage for us is Mladen Petric is out of the 1st leg and maybe the 2nd, so that should let us focus on Ruud.
Teddy_KGB
that is huge... he had a big second leg in the last round...

Hold on a minute - isn't this the same fellow who said Fulham were nothing but a long ball club in between the two matches against them?

WOW......respect for us grows, can he sell us one or two of those brazilians?
