Fulham - Zamora Could Have Joined Wolves?

Back in the close season, the rumour mill was rife with the suggestion that Bobby Zamora was off to Hull.

Thankfully, for our sakes, the transfer never materialised and the rest, as they say, is history.

Zamora has gone on to have a remarkable season, a season that could still see him feature for England in the 2010 World Cup, however, the opposition manager today, Mick McCarthy, has admitted that he too is a fan of Bobby remarking,

"How many goals has he scored - 19? I have always thought he was an accomplished Premier League player."

"He has played most of his career in the Premier League and you don`t stay in it unless you are good enough."

"Not many players have scored that many goals. When he was at West Ham and I was at Sunderland, I liked him."

In fact it transpires that Mick tried to purchase Bobby in the summer but was turned down flat. Obviously his financial offer wasn`t as good as that from Hull!
