Fulham - Duff Looks Ahead!

Confidence appears high in the Fulham camp ahead of the spectacle of a Europe League quarter-final second leg tonight.

Leading 2-1 thoughts are naturally turning to the possibility of progressing to the semi-final and such thoughts, although dangerous when we`ve such a good team as Wolfsburg to overcome in the quarter and then a tough two legged semi against opposition as yet unknown, but with no World Cup 2010 to look forward to Damien Duff has offered his thoughts on the possibility of reaching the final in Hamburg and also the fact it may open up old wounds, when he comments,

"In a way what happened in Paris in November is a distant memory now."

"We`ve played so many games since then and they seem to be getting bigger and bigger."

"To get to a final and win would be just unbelievable. It will probably open old wounds in the summer when I`m watching on TV but it`s been an amazing journey and everyone`s enjoyed it."

"I haven`t really had any time to think about the disappointment of not getting there."

"There have been so many games, especially in the Europa League. We`ve had some fabulous fixtures both at home and away."

We have Damien and I can`t help hoping that there`s at least another three to come after tonight!

Duff will be crucial tonight. With Dempsey out and Zamora hobbled, Duff and Gera need to have great games.
