Fulham - Red Hot for an Austrian!

I`ve lost count of how many times we`ve been linked to this guy!

Paul Scharner, currently playing for Wigan Athletic, has been linked time and time again with a move to Craven Cottage.

Today, the Daily Mirror has resurrected a proposed move and has deemed it to be an almost racing certainty that the Austrian will be joining Fulham.

Apparently, the prospect of a regular first team place is the enticing factor!

All we can do is wait and wonder thought whether this supposed racing certainty clears the final hurdle and makes the finishing line then!

Scharner is a perfectly decent player. He can play midfield or defense, which makes him quite useful. My objections in the past had to do with the suggested cost. This summer is different, though. I believe he's out of contract, so he could come to us on a free transfer. If you're looking for a replacement for Smalling, you could do worse.

i think he could be a danny m replacement. he has always wanted the midfield and boss it, so why not. I think he could bring that combination of defensive when needed but also coming up with the goals if needed....not flash....well apart from his hairdo ha ha ha.....badger stylle
