Fulham - Baird Confident!

One of the great success stories, in our opinion, this season, has been the re-emergence of Chris Baird as a Premiership player.

The Irishman had struggled to make a serious impact since joining but now seems to have found his little niche at our club.

On Thursday, Baird will be a key player in ensuring Fulham do not concede whilst also ensuring the play moves forward as we attempt to get back into the fixture.

Talking about the fixture Baird has remarked,

'The first match was a very tough game for us, we knew about the quality they had and they showed it in the first leg."

'But I still think we've got a great chance bringing them back to our place. We'll be up for the game and we're confident that we can get a result and keep going in this competition."

'It was nice to get back to 2-1 after what happened for their goals. "

'Conceding that goal before half-time knocked us back a bit. But in all fairness, we came out in the second-half, played a lot better and created a few chances."

'If we can continue that, especially with the game being at home, I think we've got a great chance."

'Coming to places like Craven Cottage is intimidating for teams like Juve. We're looking forward to the game."

'We know the threat they're going to pose to us but it's another great game to play in and hopefully we'll get the right result for Fulham.'

Wouldn`t a 2-0 home win be tremendous?

Folks, what do you reckon the outcome will be?

Do we actually think that Juve are intimidated coming to Craven Cottage? maybe they should be seeing the big clubs we're beaten there recently, but that's a bit of a statement to make...

Considering Juve's last game started with then 3-0 up after 15 minutes, and ended with them hanging on for dear life to a single point by conceding 3 goals to Siena...I'd say you've got a decent chance.

and a decent chance is exactly what we took advantage of!
