Fulham - Davies on March Fixtures!

Fulham - Davies on March Fixtures!

Sat in the local talking to Al Billy, we mused over the possibility of Fulham repeating our February achievement and going through March unbeaten as well!

We both agreed that it would be a phenomenal achievement, not only because it would mean extending the existing run but doing it against some teams of the highest pedigree.

In fact if we could manage it we`d find ourselves in a FA Cup semi-final and also in the last eight of the Europa League, a remarkable achievement, if it comes to fruition, for our fine club.

It`s a point that Simon Davies picked up on in an interview after the Spurs cup tie, when he commented,

"If someone else had offered us that run two years ago, we`d have been jumping at it."

"Juventus, Manchester United, Manchester City and a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals - it`s great times and it`s going to be a time when I`m sure there won`t be too much training done."

"It will just be game after game and hopefully we can keep our run going."

"We had a great run in February even though it was tough month - and it will be another tough month in March."

"But there`s a lot of experience in the squad and the manager has a lot of experience, so I`m sure he will negotiate the month wisely."

"Not too many of us have been this far in the Cup or Europe so it`s learning to deal with the big occasion and trying to make the most of it."

Or take every day as it comes and see where it leads us lads!

We have shown that we can compete with the best, let's not rely on wonder-goals though

Seven fixtures in the month; none no more than 4 days apart from the next against some of the best teams in the world (and Hull). March, or Death March!
