Fulham - Victims of our Success?

I doubt whether Roy will ever admit to being a little disappointed with the performance against Spurs and especially the fact that the draw added another game to our already congested fixture list.

Having previously talked about the fear of his 'thin` squad being hit by burn-out, the thought of another fixture only adds to those fears.

But, with a fantastic midweek trip to Turin, to take on Juventus, ahead of us, you`d hope that the adrenalin rush would kick in and see the squad through the next few decisive weeks.

Ever the perfect gentleman, Roy put a different twist on the problem when asked about the congestion that awaits us, remarking,

"You could say we`re victims of our success but I think we ought to be basking in the glory of games we`re playing. We should be grateful. Most players would be envious of a fixture list like this."

If we come through March, still unbeaten, then we can all be as proud as punch!

Hahaha....you should have thought of this before trying to kill the game (and everyone watching) on saturday. I think you had at least 6 players behind the ball at all times....so I hope you were merely pointing out that you have a lot of games ahead of you, and not complaining :)

I'll not complain at all about what we've achieved this season, no matter what happens this month. To be well placed in the League, and still battling in the Europa League and FA Cup surpasses my expectations. However, looking at a rather frail Juve side, I can't help but think that we might just have a chance in Turin, and with a home win, progress into the EL quarters. I don't hold the same optimism that we can beat Spurs at WHL, but I do so enjoy the thought of it. How gut-wrenching it would be for Spurs fans if little ol' Fulham knocked them out of the FA Cup (at home, no less). Slightly delusional, perhaps, but a satisfying thought, nonetheless.
