Fulham - Hodgson on Spurs Draw!

And so the game we`d longed for all week came and went without any firm result.

The only certainty being that we`ve to travel to White Hart Lane for what looks like a very difficult replay.

After the game, Roy Hodgson gave his views on events and spoke about the game and how it thinks it could finally be won, remarking,

"It was a very exciting Cup tie, I thought - a fierce Cup tie played in the right spirit."

"And I don`t think that either Harry Redknapp or myself can really complain about the result."

"I think 0-0 is a fair result on the evening although there were a few scares at both ends."

"Spurs are a force at home but they`re a force away from home as well."

"In actual fact, away from home recently, they`ve got some excellent results so we don`t feel we`re out of the competition yet. I suppose we had the home advantage today that we pass to them."

"But I think we`re capable of giving as good a performance away from home as we`ve done at home."

"And who knows, I think the game could be decided by a mistake at the back of a wonder goal and who knows where that mistake or wonder goal is going to come from. It could come from us just as easily as it could come from them."


I`m not quite sure about describing it as an exciting tie though Roy, it all got a bit too placid, at times, in the first half, but what really concerns me is that if we are going to progress to the semi-final then we`re going to have to produce an away performance far better than we`ve produced all season on English soil!

Well done to Roy for having 10 men behind the ball at all times at home. That is definitely the way to win games

Wouldn't want to be disrespectful but I've made money all season backing Fulham to win at home and lose away!

Well, he answered my question in a previous post, where I asked what your strategy was yesterday. "A wonder goal". Simple. Deny the opponent of scoring and pray for a wonder goal. I am so glad I don't support a club with that philosophy.
