Fulham - How About This One?

Last season, many of you may remember that I championed the cause of a scoring sensation plying his trade at Swindon, Simon Cox.

You may recall that I urged Roy Hodgson, time and time again to take a chance on him. Sadly, it never happened. But, I`ve not lost an eye for a transfer bargain and I`ve another target that Roy may well like to look at, the ex-Arsenal midfielder, Alexander Hleb.

Hleb, now twenty-eight, left Arsenal for Barcelona but the move never quite worked out and this season he`s currently strutting his stuff for Stuttgart where he`s put in some fine performances.

But, the rumour mill suggests that a move I son the cards again this summer and he could be offloaded for approximately 8 million.

That might seem a lot of cash but if this club of ours has serious intentions of stabilizing the work Roy has done since taking over from Lawrie Sanchez, I believe that is the sort of money we need to spend to bring in the sort of player to allow us to do so.

Hleb, speaking about his situation to the European media, is quoted as having remarked,

"Barcelona will decide my future and I am open to any option. But I have shown at Arsenal that I can play in England and enjoy the Premier League."

So, are you with me or against me on this one? Would Hleb make a good signing or would he be a luxury?

Wish it was more to the tune of 6m, but I think he would be a great addition.
not sure how i feel about this one... he's high maintenance for one... and you'd be taking goals out of the line up unless you play him in the attacking central midfield position... both dempsey and duff score more than he does... he is quality and can pass and dribble well, but it might be too much for a midfielder who doesn't put the ball in the back of the net...
too expensive, full stop, end of comment!

a mixed response so far - only to be expoected though!
expensive for one player, not sure we'll be doing that again after the lack of success with AJ
