It`s one of those mornings whereby I`m tired, probably not the best way to start a new week or even a new month but I have to admit that the last one wasn`t too bad was it?
When was the last time Fulham Football Club participated in three competitions and emerged unbeaten?
Okay, the 0-0 draw up at the 'Stadium of Light` wasn`t he best way, entertainment wise, to finish the month on but as many have pointed out, it was another point gained in the quest to ensure Premier League football for next season.
After the game Roy Hodgson spoke about the fixture, commenting,
"It was a good point. The quality of it is exaggerated after our exertions in midweek."
"I did fear for this game because we got back so late on Friday morning. I thought it could take its toll but we defended well, used the ball well, but didn`t do enough with the possession."
"I wish February would last for ever! We have a quarter-final of the FA Cup and we are delighted to come so far in it. We have 38 points, 10 games left and have not got the sword of Damocles hanging over us that the cup will affect us."
"It looks like we will have another year in the Premier League. The aim is to keep that run in the top flight going."
Glad to see we`ve got our priorities right!
I wonder what the month of March holds for us!
