Fulham - Pipped by United?

I`m not sure how long ago it was, maybe no more than a couple of weeks, when we ran an article suggesting that Fulham were in the race to sign a wonder-kid.

The lad in question was the Queens Park Rangers fifteen year old, Raheem Stirling, tipped by many to have a golden future in the game.

Well the latest implications are that we could be beaten at the post with Manchester United now the favourites to sign the lad.

According to our sources a Manchester United scout, the legendary Brian McClair, was spotted watching the fifteen year old playing in an U18 game recently.

You`d have thought that after the Chris Smalling affair they`d have at least let us sign him, bring him on and then chuck a huge cheque in our direction to sign him when he reaches puberty would you not!

Unless the kid is a secret cottager, then I feel we'll struggle to get his attention...
