Fulham - Another Zamora Supporter!

Fulham - Another Zamora Supporter!

With Birmingham the visitors to Craven Cottage this afternoon would you bet against Bobby Zamora getting on the score sheet?

Since coming back from injury Bobby has quickly got back into the groove and his fantastic strike on Thursday evening will be remembered by all those who witnessed it.

With his name constantly being linked with the England squad, Simon Davies has joined the growing list of those who offer fulsome praise when he`s quoted, ahead of the Birmingham game, as having remarked,

"Bobby is on fire and if he keeps doing what he`s doing then there isn`t any better (striker) like him in the country."

"Everyone last year was talking about Emile Heskey and what he brings to the England team, and it was the same with Bobby for us last year with his work rate and bringing the midfielders into the game. Last year you could see what he brought to the team, but maybe only by playing with him could you appreciate that."

"The fans obviously look at and judge strikers by goals, and last year he didn`t get his fair share. Maybe he did get a little down."

"It might have been frustrating but its finished now, and this season he shoots all the time and they`re going in."

"When you don`t have somebody like that you really miss him, and this year he`s added goals to it and he`s looking a top player."

"There are other things you look for in a striker than goals."

Come on Fabio, do the decent thing and give our Bobby his chance, he`ll not let you down!

He is by far the best English target man playing in the prem at the moment, some of the papers are saying he doesn’t have Champions League experience but when was the last time Heskey, Cole or Bent played in the Champions League, with Heskey it was when he was at Liverpool and that was a long time ago now for the other two that would be never, if his form continues it would be a travesty if he didn’t go to the World Cup and anyway England only ever win the World Cup when they have Fulham players in the squad. :-)

I think that Bobby gave Capello plenty to think about today, I'd be surprised if he didn't give him a try at least

it's really interesting that capello left before the end of the game... he missed that strike in person... and it's not all about the goals, but it just seems odd... is he that worried about traffic? can't he get a helicopter on the fa dime to take him to the next match? but bobby looks great, and i wonder where we'd be without him this year?
