Fulham - Talking of Swede`s!

No! Not the vegetable variety!

After being in the shadows since joining Fulham last summer, David Elm suddenly finds himself in the spotlight.

Netting his first Premier League goal has obviously awakened media interest in the Swede.

And, it appears, the Swede is somewhat reveling in the attention judging by the number of remarks appearing in the media.

The latest suggest that David`s confidence is now at a level where he believes in himself after finding it hard to settle, when he says,

"It has taken four or five months to settle. Now I believe I can do something."

"When I joined the other players did not know who I was. But I`ve worked hard to help the team and show I can belong here."

"I don`t know if I would say I`m a big name in Sweden, but I have won the league there ad I think they know my name because of my two brothers (AZ Alkmaar striker Rasmus and Heerenveen utility man Viktor)."

"It was a really nice feeling to score my first goal in the Premier League and I hope I can feel it again."

Not sure about a Premier League goal but one, this Sunday, in the FA Cup would be very well received Mr Elm especially as there is gong to be another famous Swede in the shape of Sven Goran Eriksson sat in the Craven Cottage main stand!

Good for Elm, a striker with confidence is a great asset... a striker with confidence and ability- even better!

Great to see the lad step up. I think if we can play that long ball pumped into the area with the likes of Elm, Okaka and Zamora could start to put teams on the back foot and create more goal chances. I love fulham.....

it's good to have strikers in good form, and we need okaka to put one in to steel himself a bit... i thought sven left notts county?
woodysweats
You're correct Woody, Sven has resigned following the takeover.
DeuceBigelow
so much for Sven promising to stick this one out - must have gone through the secretaries :-)

He's impressed me so far!

County or Portsmouth? Most takeovers this season?
